One Sunday morning after my friend passed away, I woke up and even before starting my weekend routine I heard this multi-layered melody behind the words "Drifting Away".

The night before hearing this melody I remember thinking the worst part about dealing with death is the fact that as every day goes by, the person who passed away becomes a more distant memory and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.

You can't send them a voice note or quickly message them to find out how they're doing and quickly catch up on any lost time. The more time passes, the further they 'drift away'.

That's what this song is based on: A melody that I wrote in the hopes that wherever he is, it'll be able to pull him back.
